Appearance
Colour ranges from soft lilac to deep violet, often with lighter and darker banding within a single die. Light passes through the crystal, so engraved numbers filled with gold or silver ink really stand out.
Durability & care
Amethyst is a quartz (about 7 on the Mohs hardness scale), so it is hard and holds a crisp faceted edge. Like all crystalline stone it can chip on a hard impact, so we recommend rolling on a soft tray.
