Lapis lazuli has been prized by priests and royalty since antiquity — a deep celestial blue flecked with gold pyrite. It is one of the most regal-looking stones we craft into dice.
Appearance
Rich ultramarine blue with natural gold-coloured pyrite flecks and occasional white calcite veining. Every die carries its own scatter of "stars".
Durability & care
Lapis is softer than the quartz stones (about 5–5.5 on the Mohs scale), so it is a little more delicate. We finish and inspect each die carefully; a soft tray and padded storage are especially worthwhile for lapis.
Best for
The natural choice for divine characters — a Cleric channeling their deity, or a Paladin whose faith is the source of their power.

Lapis Lazuli dice FAQ
Are the gold flecks in lapis lazuli real?
Yes — those are natural pyrite inclusions in the stone, not added glitter. The scatter of gold "stars" is different in every lapis lazuli die.
Is lapis lazuli more fragile than other gemstone dice?
It is a little softer than quartz-based stones, so we recommend a soft tray and padded storage. Treated with normal care it makes a beautiful, long-lasting set.
